Sailing in a traditional wooden boat in the Venetian lagoon

In ancient times, lagoon boats would be using oars or sails to move around. The “vela al terzo” is a traditional sail, very well suiting the lagoon. A large rudder and a flat bottom come along. Usually, the sail is very colorful. Promoting and protecting this historical heritage is the goal of the Associazione Vela al Terzo, whose members arrange sailing events and a championship every year. If you choose this experience, you will spend a couple of hours on a wooden, traditional sailboat in the northern lagoon and will feel the joy of navigating on shallow waters.
