Masks and theatre: Carnival in Venice

What you will do

You will visit a laboratory where marionettes are made with a special technique and learn about their history. You will then visit a tailors’ workshop where costumes for Mardi Gras are made and another place where papier-mâché masks are made and exquisitely hand painted. Finally, in the context of a gorgeous Renaissance Venetian palace, you will enjoy an unusual lesson-show about Commedia dell’Arte with professional actors.

As artisans’ workshops are not open on weekends, this experience can be booked on weekdays only.
