Visiting a typography and an atelier for porcelain and wooden sculptures

In this itinerary you can visit a historical typography and learn how you can make a print. You will compose your own page using a metal movable-type printing press and then proceed to the actual color print on paper, which you can then take away with you. In the same “sestiere” we can visit an atelier where we will meet two artists. A ceramist will show us the techniques of porcelain to create everyday objects with great creativity and a high sense of beauty. A wood sculptor will tell us how he recovers wood, even the abandoned “bricole” (the wooden poles marking the canals in the lagoon), to transform them into objects of common use, creative sculptures or particularly refined furniture.
